Citizenship Volunteer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Work to Be Done:

Assist Outreach Citizenship Coordinator in outreach activities specifically targeting Asian community in Uptown Chicago and western suburbs (e.g. Westmont, Naperville). Educate target population in understanding the benefits of U.S. citizenship.

Examples of Activities:

• Public presentations
• Creating print material for clients and media
• Cold calling prospective organizations, businesses to spread the word of CMAA citizenship services.

Key Personal Attributes Required:

• Willing to work with diverse community
• Commitment to supporting immigrant community
• Interest in immigration reform, community organizing

Qualifications Sought:

Bilingual Chinese/English speaker preferred but not required.

Location:

Chicago or Westmont office.

Length of time and hours per week are flexible. Preferred and eight week

Flexible

Dates/hours preferred:

Monday through Friday with possible weekend shifts available

Volunteer opportunity start date is on-going.
