JOB DESCRIPTION

Program Description:

The Educational Summer Program (ESP) strives to teach new material to the students and to improve their skills to prepare them for the upcoming year. The program dates are Tuesdays-Thursdays, from July 10, 2007 - August 23, 2007.

Essential Function[s]:

1. Reports to the Youth Program Manager
2. Develop and implement educational and innovative curriculum for ESP’s Arts and Crafts session

Responsibilities:

CMAA Educational Summer Program (ESP) Arts and Crafts Intern:

1. Develop and implement Educational Summer Programs (ESP)
2. Prepare for the arts and crafts activities and clean-up after the activities
3. Instruct the arts and crafts activities during ESP sessions
4. Develop and provide daily arts & crafts activities
5. Supervise youth during activities
6. Attend staff meetings and events
7. Develop goals and objectives for program and individual growth
8. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

1. Attending an accredited college and working towards Bachelors degree in related field desired
2. Experience working with youth required
3. Excellent communication skills
4. Computer knowledge preferred
5. Experience working with immigrant/refugee families
6. Flexible schedule
7. Bilingual/Bicultural preferred
