CMAA Educational Summer Program (ESP) Volunteer Intern

JOB DESCRIPTION

Program Description:

The Educational Summer Program (ESP) strives to teach new material to the students and to improve their skills to prepare them for the upcoming year. The program dates are Tuesdays-Thursdays, from July 10, 2007- August 23, 2007.

Essential Function[s]:

1. Reports to the Youth Program Manager
2. Develop and implement educational and innovative curriculum for ESP Creative Writing

Responsibilities:

CMAA Educational Summer Program (ESP) Intern:

1. Develop and implement Educational Summer Programs (ESP)
2. Instruct educational classes and activities during ESP sessions
3. Supervise youth during class and activities
4. Attend staff meetings and events
5. Develop goals and objectives for the class
6. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

1. Attending an accredited college and working towards Bachelors degree in related field desired
2. Experience working with youth required
3. Excellent communication skills
4. Computer knowledge preferred
5. Experience working with immigrant/refugee families
6. Flexible schedule
7. Bilingual/Bicultural preferred
