Interpretation Volunteer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Work to Be Done:

Assist the social services department with interpretation.

Examples of Activities:

Interpretation at events, meetings, and individual appointments.

Key Personal Attributes Required:

Friendly, flexible, productive team player interested in relating to culturally diverse immigrants, refugees and communities.

Qualifications Sought:

1. Fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, or Spanish.
2. Documentation of formal interpreter training or certification required.

Location:

Main Office, occasionally off-site at community meetings, appointments.

Length of minimum commitment sought:

10 hours.

Dates/hours preferred:

Between 9:00-5:00, Monday-Friday, occasional evenings.
