Chinese Mutual Aid Association

Chinese Mutual Aid Association celebrated Chinese New Year at Truman College on January 31, 2009. The event was sponsored by State Farm Insurance.

Dignitaries attending the event included Senator Richard Durbin, Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, Secretary of State Jesse White, Attorney General Lisa Madigan, Treasurer Alex Giannoulias, State Senator Heather Steans, State Representative Harry Osterman, Cook County Commissioner Mike Quigley, Alderman Helen Shiller. Commanders Lucy Moy and Kathleen Boehmer of the Chicago Police Department. International guests included the Honorable Ping Huang, Consul-General of the Peoples Republic of China and the new Director General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Chicago.
