Chinese Mutual Aid Association

Introduction:

Community Care Program (CCP) is supported and administered by Illinois Department on Aging (IDoA). It provides in-home and community-based services to eligible Illinois seniors aged sixty (60) or over.

While much of Chicago is closed because of the snow storm, Chinese Mutual Aid Association(CMAA) is indeed open today, February 2.  We suggest that you call before coming, because we will have limited services today since many of our staff members could not make it through the snow.  CMAA will close at 5:00 p.m today, and all evening classes and programs will be cancelled.  Also, there will be no after-school program.

CMAA will be closed on February 3 for Chinese New Year.

CMAA will close today, February 1, at 5:00 p.m. due to the expected blizzard that is about to hit Chicago.  All evening classes and services are cancelled for today.

CMAA plans to be open tomorrow, February 2; however, we suggest you call before coming in case we have staff members who cannot make it to work due to the blizzard.

CMAA will be closed on Febrary 3 to celebrate Chinese New Year.

Chinese Mutual Aid Association is hosting its Chinese New Year Celebration of the Year of the Rabbit on February 5, 2011 at Truman College, 1145 West Wilson in Chicago (See attached flyer for more details). 

The event will include our Lion Dancers, Cultural Dancers, a Folk Dancer and other entertainment.   We expect Mayor Daley to attend the event in his final year as Mayor.  Tickets are $8.00 for adults and $4.00 for children under 12.

Chinese Mutual Aid Association will Process Winter Energy Assistance (LIHEAP) applications beginning September 1, 2010.

It will benefit so many of you who needed assistance with your summer cooling costs. Keep checking this website for updated information regarding our winter energy assistance program. We would like to help you again with winter heating costs. Be sure to also tell your friends to stop in at Chinese Mutual Aid and complete the application when the time comes for the winter heating assitance program.
