On March 3^rd, The Golden Age Club of Chinese Mutual Aid Association held a physical therapy class for seniors. About 90 people attended this event and learned about the importance of taking care of oneself.

February 20, 2010, the Chinese Mutual Aid Association hosted their annual Chinese New year Celebration at Truman College. The event was opened with a Lion Dance performed by four young men from CMAA’s very own Youth Department known as the Lion Dance Troupe. The Lion Dance is performed at the beginning of an event to ward off evil spirits and also to bring good luck and fortune throughout the day.

Pei-hwang Shen, Director General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Chicago, made his first visit to the Chinese Mutual Aid Association on February 11, 2010.

On Friday, January 22, 2010, the Chinese Mutual Aid Association was honored to welcome the Chinese Counsel General Ping Huang. The Counsel General made his annual visit to CMAA to congratulate the staff for another prosperous year.

　　本會從1月起，推出多個免費服務項目，包括協助申請「營養補助計劃」、「物業減稅計劃」，以及針對芝加哥失業者的低收入戶津貼計劃等。

　　本會元月份起，每週一訂為「營養補助計劃日」，凡需要本會協助申請「營養補助計劃」者，可於週一到本會尋求協助。

　　這項計劃申請資格為擁有公民身分，或持有綠卡，並在美國生活超過五年（18歲以下不在此限）的伊州居民；資產限制為，銀行帳戶少於2000元，其中60歲以上長者或傷殘的限額為3000元；在收入方面，單身者每月收入須少於1127元，二人1517元，三人1907元，四人2297元，五人2687元，六人3077元。

　　由芝加哥市府提供的一次性「物業減稅計劃」，互助會亦協助民眾申請，地稅減免計劃的減稅金額為25元到200元，主要依據申請者地稅上漲幅度及年收入來決定。有意申請者須攜帶全家身份證、工卡（社安卡）、2008年地稅第二期付款單和2008年稅表。這項地稅減免對象僅限於位於芝加哥市的物業。

　　此外本會也為居民辦理經常性和種減地稅計劃，如屋主自住減稅，長者及傷殘人士減地稅計劃等。

On December 1, 2009, the Chinese Mutual Aid Association’s Youth Department was recognized for its outstanding youth development in the year of 2008-2009.

The Chicago Dept of Public Health will be offering free Swine Flu vaccine, both injectable and nasal mist form, for the next month at the City Colleges (Truman for Uptown folks, and Westside Tech for Chinatown folks) on Saturdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. They will not be offering the regular seasonal flu vaccine on these days.
