Huy Nguyen is the Chief of Staff to Illinois State Representative Hoan Huynh (IL-13), where he plays a pivotal role in shaping legislative strategy and constituent outreach. Prior to this, he was a senior associate at Factor, where he advised clients in the life sciences, banking, and renewable energy sectors on complex legal matters including mergers and acquisitions, project finance, technology transactions, and data protection.
 

A dedicated advocate for the Asian American legal community, Huy serves as President of the Asian American Bar Association of Greater Chicago. He also holds board positions with the Vietnamese Association of Illinois, the National Conference of Vietnamese American Attorneys, and the Chinese American Bar Association of Greater Chicago.
 

Huy is actively involved in grassroots initiatives, volunteering with Asian Americans Advancing Justice Chicago, Asian American Midwest Progressives, the Chinatown Pro Bono Legal Clinic, Celebrate Argyle, and HAIBAYÔ. He also leads community running events as a run lead with Family Style RC.
 

Huy earned his BBAs in Marketing and International Business from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa and holds a JD from Chicago-Kent College of Law.
