The saying at CMAA goes, “you never truly leave - you’re always a part of the family.”

Chinese Mutual Aid Association (CMAA) is a non-profit social service agency located in Chicago’s Uptown community. CMAA’s mission is to serve the needs, promote the interests, and enhance the well-being of low-income immigrants and refugees in Chicagoland and to foster their participation in American society. CMAA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Internships are a great way to explore and network within the nonprofit sector while gaining relevant experience in a professional environment. If you are a college student or someone looking to gain new skills, we encourage you to apply here at CMAA!

As an intern, you will be working with a group of passionate people committed to improving the lives of low-income immigrants and refugees as a fellow member of the CMAA family. There will be no buying coffee or making photocopies - instead, you will be engaged in meaningful, substantive work, like counseling real clients on how to find employment.  We guarantee that you will leave the internship with stronger professional skills and a deeper understanding of the field.

*Most of CMAA’s internships are unpaid but can be used for school credit.
