Volunteer At CMAA

CMAA believes in strengthening the voice of the immigrant community throughout the Chicagoland area and beyond. It fulfills this mission by fostering long-term relationships with supporters of its organization, such as volunteers who are passionate about giving back and are dedicated to its cause. Without their help, CMAA cannot be successful in providing information, resources, and support to its community members.

Volunteers assist in different tasks at CMAA, ranging from English as a Second Language (ESL) tutoring to helping out with special community events. CMAA welcomes volunteers year-round for any given task, whether it is a one-time commitment or a long-term one.

Currently, CMAA is looking for volunteers for the following:

  • ESL tutors

Volunteer tutors will go through an ESL training workshop before tutoring adult learners. CMAA asks that volunteers commit to at least 6 months of tutoring. For more information about this opportunity, please contact: tutoring@chinesemutualaid.org.
