Dedicated to improving healthcare access for immigrant and underserved populations, Dr. Michael Chen actively supports community health initiatives across the greater Chicago area, collaborating with local nonprofits on programs that address key social determinants of health. He brings a grounded combination of clinical care, health informatics, and value-based delivery models to the CMAA Board of Directors. Dr. Chen currently serves as a Senior Medical Director at Aetna while continuing to practice as a primary care physician in Chicago's Chinatown. He holds an undergraduate degree from Harvard University, a medical degree from SUNY Downstate, and an MBA from the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.
