Ajay Shah
Ajay N. Shah, Esq. is the CEO of Globetrotters Engineering Corporation. Globetrotters is a full-service architect / engineering company that works on public sector infrastructure and buildings projects. Ajay has been CEO since 2017. Prior to that, Ajay was COO & General Counsel of Globetrotters.
Ajay has a demonstrable commitment to public service. Ajay has served on the Criminal Justice Act Panel for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and has been listed on the Honor Roll of Appointed Counsel. Ajay serves on the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Character and Fitness. Ajay served as a Board member of the Chicago Bar Association and the South Asian Bar Association of Chicago. Ajay is on the Corporate Advisory Council of Cradles to Crayons. In 2022, Ajay started working as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Illinois College of Law teaching Government Contracts.
Ajay Shah was born and raised in Illinois. Ajay grew up in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago attending the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools. After graduating from the Lab Schools, Ajay attended Purdue University at West Lafayette, Indiana where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics / Computer Science and a minor in Political Science. While at Purdue he studied abroad at Oriel College at the University of Oxford in Oxford, England. Ajay received his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law at Urbana-Champaign. Most recently, Ajay graduated from the Owner / President Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Luyan Li, Ph.D., CPA
Dr. Li serves as the Chief Operating Officer at St. Augustine College in Chicago. As a member of the President’s Cabinet, she advances the mission of the College, which is the first bilingual, private higher education institution in the Midwest, founded in 1980.
Prior to St. Augustine College, Dr. Li served as the Vice President of Finance for PCMA, the world’s largest community for Business Events Strategists and has 17 North American Chapters, regional communities in APAC, EMEA and LATAM, and members in 59 countries, as well as the Senior Director of Finance and Treasurer of Medexus Pharma, Inc.
Dr. Li earned her PhD in Communications Studies from Northwestern University and her B.A. from Xi An Jiao Tong University, Xi An, China. Her certifications include Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Illinois. Member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Illinois CPA Society. Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), certified by National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA).
Dr. Li lives in Westmont with her family.
In her free time, Dr. Li enjoys gardening, reading, jogging, swimming, ice skating, skiing, and
badminton. Dr. Li has been volunteering with Northwestern University as an alumni interviewer of students applying to the University.
John Tao
John Tao is currently a Director, Privacy Office with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, & Texas and has been in the healthcare space since 2013.
His work is predominantly in the compliance space and focuses on doing the right thing not because it’s the law but because it’s the right thing to do.
As the child of Chinese immigrants, John has been heavily involved in the Asian American community, starting in Boston’s Chinese Progress Association as an intern in 2004. He has a BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a JD from Indiana University McKinney School of Law. He is passionate about community building, education, and supporting local businesses.
