Sharon Hwang practices in all areas of intellectual property law with particular emphasis on patent litigation at McAndrews, Held & Malloy.  She received the Sandra R. Otaka Leadership Award from the Asian American Bar Association of Greater Chicago, as well as an Advocate for Diversity Award from the Diversity Scholarship Foundation.  In 2016, she received the Vanguard Award from the Chinese American Bar Association and was honored by Mandarin Leader for her contributions in law.  Sharon serves on the Board of Directors of the AABA Law Foundation.  She previously served as the President of the Asian American Bar Association of Chicago as well as the President of the AABA Law Foundation.  Sharon wants to serve on the CMAA board to help strengthen the APA community as a whole and ensure that the APA community becomes a politically significant force in Chicagoland.
