Tuan Huynh
CEO
VietFive Coffee
Tuan Huynh is more than just an award-winning Creative Director. He's a storyteller, a champion of diversity, and the founder of VietFive Coffee – a company brewing up not just delicious coffee, but opportunity. Tuan Huynh's journey from a Vietnamese refugee to a senior art director at Leo Burnett exemplifies resilience and transformation.
After serving over 15 years in prison for a crime committed at 18, Huynh rebuilt his life through education and creativity. Post-incarceration, he earned a degree in graphic design and secured a position at Leo Burnett, where he contributed to major accounts and initiated programs like Leo's Vision and the Pencil Project to support underrepresented youth.
In January 2021, Huynh left the agency to focus on entrepreneurial and activist endeavors, including founding VietFive, a Vietnamese coffee brand, and Chicago Peace, a nonprofit aimed at empowering marginalized communities in Chicago. His story underscores the power of redemption and the impact of providing equitable opportunities for all.
