Internationally Acclaimed Contemporary Artists & Cultural Visionaries
Born in Guangxi Province, China, ShanZuo Zhou and DaHuang Zhou, known globally as the Zhou Brothers, are renowned for their groundbreaking contributions to contemporary art and cultural exchange. Their collaborative journey reflects a lifelong commitment to creativity, unity, and human connection through art.
After studying at the University of Shanghai and the National Academy for Arts and Crafts in Beijing, the Zhou Brothers gained recognition for their bold and expressive works that blend traditional Chinese philosophy with modern abstraction. In 1986, they immigrated to the United States and made Chicago their home, where they have since become iconic figures in the city’s vibrant art scene.
Their signature artistic philosophy, “Feelingism,” emphasizes emotion and intuition as a universal language that transcends cultural boundaries. Their collaborative painting process — two artists creating as one — embodies harmony, dialogue, and trust.
The Zhou Brothers’ works have been exhibited around the world, and their achievements include performing “New Beginnings” at the World Economic Forum in Davos and creating a painting presented by President Barack Obama to Chinese President Hu Jintao in 2011.
Founders of the Zhou B Art Center in Chicago, they continue to nurture emerging artists and foster global artistic exchange. The Zhou Brothers’ legacy celebrates the transformative power of art to connect cultures and inspire generations.
