What happened?

At CMAA's 2020 virtual Annual Gala, “Beyond Essential,” we highlighted CMAA’s COVID-19 relief efforts and recognized the essential work of CMAA’s Community Care Program (CCP). Despite the pandemic and its risks, our courageous home-care aides continue to work in person every day in order to provide the excellent, culturally competent and crucial in-home caregiving services that our homebound elderly and disabled clients rely on to live independently. Despite the prolonged and challenging times in which we find ourselves, there is still much to celebrate about our community and its perseverance. At our 39th Annual Gala we commemorated the accomplishments of these caregivers and our CCP from our incredible awardees, to our essential home care aides themselves.
