KATIE DRYPOLCHER
Career Coach
BA, Peace, Justice, and Conflict Studies, DePaul University
Katie was raised in Southern Africa and grew up in multicultural and NGO communities. She relocated to Chicago’s northside in 2014 and has lived in and worked to serve Chicago’s refugee and immigrant communities ever since. She continues to work with those populations at CMAA as a career coach. She finds it extremely rewarding to support clients on their path to becoming stable and thriving in our city.
Katie is passionate about community building, social justice, and social change. To further explore these themes, she gained a degree in Peace, Justice, and Conflict Studies at DePaul University, with a focus on the prevention of and recovery from violence. Chicago’s northside is a hub for local and international communities affected by injustice and conflict, and Katie is excited to serve them as they work to recover and reestablish themselves. She desires to see others find belonging in Chicago just as she has.
Fun fact: Katie had been to 13 countries by her 13th birthday.
