B. S. Political Science, Minor in International Studies, Indiana State University

Miranda has served as the Healthcare Education Specialist and ESL instructor for CMAA’s Elgin location since 2019. Miranda pairs focused case management for clients interested in healthcare occupations with contextualized healthcare instruction to prepare them for employment or further education. She also teaches English as a Second Language. Miranda has a Bachelor’s in Political Science which drove her desire to serve an immigrant and refugee population. She was originally exposed first hand to the inequities experienced by displaced persons while on tour in Iraq. Miranda’s experience is from serving as a combat medic in the U.S. Army and later working as a Patient Care Technician, Emergency Medical Technician and Pharmacy Technician.
